More Great Summer Camp Pictures are now Posted on the Troop Shutterfly Site!

Wow!  The week has gone fast and the scouts are finishing up their advancement activities and merit badges.

We have lots of new pictures of all the fun:

We had some light rain last night after bedtime and a nice sunny warm morning, so spirits are high!

We'll be doing some packing and getting ready for the big closing campfire tonight.

Latest Pictures from Cole Canoe Base Summer Camp are up on Shutterfly!

Pictures are now up on the troop Shutterfly site covering our first few exciting days at Cole summer camp!

Weather has been good and spirits high as the scouts have settled into merit badge classes and activities.

The camp wide "Beast Feast"  pot luck extravaganza where each troop brings a favorite food item to share, was a real highpoint.

From all of the participants in the "Desert" category,  T125's famous "Hare Balls" placed second in the competition.

St. Paul's Soup Kitchen Dinner Service Opportunity - Wed, 3/27 @ 5:30pm

Our very own ASM Emeritus, Mike Kiekbusch, has rescheduled this opportunity for T125 to serve the community from when it was canceled due to bitter cold back in late January.  On Wednesday, 3/27 at 5:30pm, we will prepare a simple, healthy meal and then serve at 6:30.  We'll then cleanup the kitchen area and be done by 8:30pm.  The right size of this effort is about 3 parents and 6 scouts (since the kitchen area and tasks are limited).  Mike K.

Caberfae is Coming This Weekend: Be Prepared!

For you scouts/leaders preparing to go on the ski trip this weekend, this blog is for you!  Caberfae has been getting snow and cold evening temps over the past couple weeks! Conditions couldn't be better!  Looks like some sun and moderate temperatures are forecast in the middle 30s during the day and high 20s at night.  Thanks to all of you that have signed up for the trip. We have 21 scouts and 37 leaders/family members going for this year's trip.

Reminder: Caberfae Ski Trip Permission Slip & Option Info Due This Tuesday!!

The skiing is good up north and our ski trip is coming fast on the weekend of 1/4-6/2019!  It's time to hand in permission slips, trip option info and release forms (for all equipment renters and youth) at our next meeting on this Tuesday night, 12/18!!!  Can't make the meeting?  Then scan all of your paperwork and email it or get the hard copies and payment to Jim Wells' address below on or before 12/21.

Discount Camping Gear for Scouts: "Hiker Direct"

Christmas and the holiday season is coming and T125 would like to make our newer members aware of a discount outlet for scout camping gear.  "Hiker Direct" is an outlet for ALPS brands camping gear that's made available to scouting organizations.  It's not affiliated with the national BSA in any way, but it's nice that they offer some deals on sturdy, scout-overnight-worthy camping gear that can be found on their website.  All you need to do is register your email to receive an infrequent email on gear deals.

Service slots are still open for the "Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast with Santa" at the OPC this Sunday!

Have some fun, have some pancakes, give back to the community!  Service is still available for both shifts starting at 8 - 10:30 and 10:30 - 1pm.

Be a Santa's helper this Sunday at the OPC and join the others from Troop 125 and 360 to help make this fundraiser breakfast a success.  Get your service hours by signing up for a task in the signup below:
