Troop 125 has a long history in the Rochester area and is quite active in community service and youth adventures, with no shortage of fun! Scout families are from the greater Rochester area and attend a mix of public and private schools.
Currently, there are 56 scouts are active in the troop. Scoutmaster Bill Berklich is supported by capable Assistant Scoutmasters with a broad range of experience, a busy troop committee, and many active parents.
Over one hundred scouts from Troop 125 have earned the rank of Eagle Scout since the troop's initial charter in 1957.
The Troop is organized into several patrols. It is boy led, however we have many adults to mentor the boys. Behind the scenes there are many more adults in various roles to support the troop. This helps in "making it easy" to keep a varied program geared to keep the boy's interest. A regular month consists of two regular meetings, an activity meeting, and a weekend event. The patrols will plan to meet at least once during the month.
Also with a troop of our size, we are able to create a very successful high adventure program. The high adventure program is open to boys 14 years old, and have achieved the rank of First Class. High Adventure are events that are more challenging, and geared toward the older boys.
