Family Turkey Feast

Yes, it’s that time of year. The leaves are turning, there is a nip in the air and Thanksgiving is on the horizon which means it’s time for our annual Family Turkey Feast. Traditionally our November Camp has been a time for us to gather our Troop families and share our bounty.

SCOUTS the permission slip for this Camp Out is attached

This year, as we did last year, our Family Turkey Feast will be at Camp Rotary, Wolcott Mill Metro Park November 15th. It’s a Potluck so bring a dish to feed 10 people and arrive by 4PM we will serve at 4:30PM.

Address: Camp Rotary Wolcott Mill Metropark | 20505 29 Mile Rd., Ray Township, MI, 48096

This is a really great event. The Troop Leaders (ASMs and Committee Members) will be making Turkeys in cardboard boxes, in a Deep Fryer and in a Dutch Oven. We will supply Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Corn, Green Beans, Salad with Ranch dressing (or BYO if you like something else), Lemonade, Coffee, and Paper & Plastic Dinnerware.

We would like you to bring a “family favorite” side dish or desert to feed 10 people. This can be anything like Jello, Chili, Tamales, Empanadas, Mac&Cheese, Pies, Cakes, whatever.

Bring the whole family – there is no cost (unless you are spending the weekend in tents with us). And we will be indoors warm and dry for the actual dinner.

*** Please RSVP using the sign-up genius we REALLY need a head count ***

See your there!!

P.S. Scouts – this is the LAST camp out to earn your “nights Camping” for the EMU Sports/Tech Lock-In. If you miss this one then… Sorry!
