The skiing is good up north and our ski trip is coming fast on the weekend of 1/4-6/2019! It's time to hand in permission slips, trip option info and release forms (for all equipment renters and youth) at our next meeting on this Tuesday night, 12/18!!! Can't make the meeting? Then scan all of your paperwork and email it or get the hard copies and payment to Jim Wells' address below on or before 12/21.
This is one of the few T125 events where parents, siblings, families can come and share in the fun! (note, siblings are the responsibility of parent(s) that accompany them on the trip) Not a skier? This is a great way to find out about all of the fun and challenge skiing has to offer! Take a lesson and give it a try! The permission slip has lots of information regarding the arrangements for the trip and ski equipment rental. Feeling that holiday pocketbook pain already? Pay for the trip using the "Troop Store" on your credit card (note that item costs reflect processing fees) or by check, since we cash the checks after we return from the trip.
Note: Ski helmets are required for all scouts! Bring yours or rent one! Got your own gear and can't fit it in the car? No problem! We take the troop's smaller "mini-me" trailer to load in all of our skis and gear. While the troop mostly returns home on Sunday morning, some families take advantage of heavily discounted Sunday lift tickets/rental and return later in the afternoon. For parents and family members who are not skiers, cross country skiing is also available.
See the permission slip in the troop website downloads area or here:
