Merit Badge Counselor Training Opportunity

Submitted by on

All T125 Adults,

Are you passionate about or an expert in a certain field?  Consider becoming a Merit Badge Counselor!  The council is always looking for Merit Badge Counselors, particularly in those areas that may not be so common.  In addition, we can always use Counselors embedded in our troop.  The only requirements are that you take Merit Badge Counselor Training and Youth Protection Training.

There will be Merit Badge Counselor Training this Saturday, 3/23, 11:00 am, at St. Thomas Presbyterian Church (55355 Mound Rd., Shelby Twp., 48316).  The only thing you need to bring is a copy of your current Youth Protection Training certificate, all other material will be provided.  If you need to take YPT, I can send you directions how to do that.

There is no charge for this training.  Walk-ins are welcome, but please try and register at the following website if you plan to attend to help the organizers ensure that there are adequate handouts available:

Also, here is a link to all 137 Merit Badges offered – you probably have a skill taught in a Merit Badge and not even know it!

Thanks!
